An AJC Survey of US Jews and their politics:

The American Jewish Committee has released the results of its 2020 Survey of American Jewish Opinion, based on a national sample of 1,334 Jewish adults conducted by the research company SSRS Sept. 9 – Oct. 4. It found 75% planning to vote for Joe Biden, 22% for Donald Trump, 2% someone else, 1% not voting, and 2% no opinion.

The 75% figure compares to about 70% voting for Democratic presidential candidates in the last two presidential elections. What is interesting is that, even though 75% are saying they’ll vote Biden, 42% see Trump as better for handling US-Israel relations, so at least 15% or 20% of Jews are planning to vote for Biden even though they see Trump as better for handling relations with Israel.

The 75% is somewhat higher than that found in a large Pew survey of 10,500+ registered voters of the entire electorate Sept. 20-Oct. 5, showing Jews breaking 70%-27% for Biden over Trump (with a 9.6% margin of error) and in a Jewish Electorate Institute online poll of 810 Jews in early September finding 67%-30% Biden lead (with a 3.5% margin of error).
